It is an honour to serve as President of the Rotary Club of Fort William for the 2025–2026 Rotary year.
This year, under the inspirational leadership of Rotary International President Francesco Arezzo, we are called to Unite for Good. This theme reflects the power of human connection—welcoming new members, collaborating on impactful service projects, and coming together to make meaningful change in our local and global communities.
Guided by Rotary International’s strategic priorities—increasing our impact, expanding our reach, enhancing participant engagement, and strengthening our ability to adapt—our club is poised for a year of growth, service, and connection.
Together with our dedicated board and members, we will:
- Grow our membership and strengthen club participation
- Expand our community impact through service and fundraising
- Support youth programs, leadership development, and global initiatives
- Improve our online presence and public image
- Focus on succession planning, leadership continuity, and sustainability
- Foster fun, fellowship, and purpose in everything we do
We also look forward to engaging closely with our new District Governor, Elaine Hansen, whose professional and Rotary leadership experience brings a wealth of insight to District 5580. As we launch Rotary International’s new 3-Year Rolling Goal Strategy, we are excited to align our club’s long-term strategic plan with RI’s global vision and priorities.
Whether you’re a longtime Rotarian or a curious visitor, I invite you to be part of this journey. Together, let’s Unite for Good—inspiring hope, taking action, and creating lasting change in Thunder Bay and beyond.
Yours in Rotary Service,
Jodi Phillips
